My friends over at NOISETRADE.COM have been doing some really cool stuff in the indy realm of music for a while now. They decided recently to feature me on one of their mail outs. I’m so appreciative to be surrounded by so much other great music. Great folks over there. Check ‘em out. www.noisetrade.com
Here’s a little preview of the EP set to release FRIDAY. That’s right…this FRIDAY.
I’ve recorded a christmas EP with my good buddy Stevie Griffin, another stupidly talented friend in nashville. Stevie is literally a walking walmart of talent. He can dance, play any instrument, design the snot out of an album and do anything else you need him to. ok, not anything. Here’s a link to his design stuff.
IT WILL DROP ON ITUNES ON 12/03/10
We decided there was a lot of christmas music coming out but we wanted to do something really SIMPLE. Almost like you’re cousin sitting around on Christmas break hacking through christmas songs. (Yes, you can think of me as your cousin if it helps the visual.) All of these songs are not much more than me singing and playing guitar on 3 of my favorite christmas songs. Hope it adds something to your holiday.
Many Blessings this season,
jake
p.s. – track listing
1. Have yourself a Merry Little Christmas 2. The Christmas Song (chestnuts roasting…) 3. I’ll be Home for Christmas
My friends Drew & Elli Holcomb have put a song that Drew and I wrote together on their new album set to release very soon! Songs called “Anywhere But Here”
They’ve also launched a kickstarter campaign to allow you to donate to the recording process and get some crazy prizes. check it out!

Around 200 folks submitted some really great songs in a songwriters contest/festival i entered not too long ago. I’m honored to say that they picked Kentucky Moon to win 2nd place.
